Pakistan Weather Forecast: Smog to Abate as Winter Rains/Snow Predicted over Upper Parts of Pakistan on 10-11th November

Fresh WD is impacting the country’s extreme north part, including Upper KPK and GB. This WD is likely to expand further in the upper parts of the country. This will result in light to moderate rains along with snowfall over high mountains during the next 36-48 hours. The areas where rain/snow chances are high include most of KPK, Kashmir, GB, and Upper Punjab. Due to this rain, smog to abate for a few days in plain areas including Lahore.

KPK

Scattered thunderstorm rain (snow over high hills) is likely in KPK Province including Peshawar (Charsadda, Nowshehra, Khyber, and Mohmand), Mardan (Swabi), Malakand (Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Buner, Shangla, Bajaur, Malakand, and Chitral), Hazara (Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Torghar, and Batagram) from Sunday 10th till Monday 11th November. Isolated thunderstorm rain is likely in Kohat (Hangu, Karak, Kurram, and Orakzai), Bannu (Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan), and Dera Ismail Khan (South Waziristan and Tank) Divisions during the same period.

Punjab & Islamabad

Scattered thunderstorm rain is likely in upper Punjab Province including Islamabad,  Rawalpindi (Attock, Murree, Jhelum, and Chakwal), Gujranwala (Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahuddin, Hafizabad, and Wazir Abad), Lahore (Kasur, Nankana Sahib, and Shekhupura), and Sargodha (Mianwali, Bakkhar, and Khushab) divisions from Sunday 10th night till Monday 11th November.

Kashmir

Scattered thunderstorm rain (snow over high hills) is likely in Kashmir, including MuzzaffarabadRawalakotKotliMirpur, and Jammu divisions from Sunday 10th till Monday 11th November.

Gilgit Baltistan

Isolated to scattered showers/thunderstorms (snow over mountains) are possible in all valleys of GB, including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Gupis, and Chillas Valley from Sunday 10th till Monday 11th of November.

Balochistan

Mostly dry weather is expected in most parts of Balochistan province during the said period.

Sindh

Mostly dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh province during the said period.
