Heat to abate after Rain/Snow Likely in Upper Parts of Pakistan on 28th-29th October.

These days, above-normal temperatures are being recorded in most parts of the country. Some southern areas of the country are still experiencing hot weather, with some parts experiencing above 40C. The reason behind this hot weather is attributed to the absence of any significant western disturbances and tropical activities in the seas of the region.

However, this weather pattern is going to change soon as a fresh WD is likely to impact the upper parts of the country from the 28th of October night to the 29th of October. As a result, scattered rain thunderstorms, hailstorms, and windstorms along with light snowfall over high mountains of the upper parts of Pakistan is likely. This will not only result in much-needed precipitation but will also reduce the temperatures over all parts of the country in the coming days.

The areas that are more likely to receive rain include:

KPK

Scattered thunderstorm rain (snow over high mountains) is likely in KPK Province including Hazara (Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Torghar, and Batagram), Malakand (Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Buner, Shangla, Bajaur, Malakand, and Chitral), Kohat (Hangu, Karak, Kurram, and Orakzai), Peshawar (Charsadda, Nowshehra, Khyber, and Mohmand), and Mardan (Swabi) Divisions during the next 24 hours. Isolated activity is likely in Bannu (Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan) and Dera Ismail Khan (South Waziristan and Tank) divisions during the same period.

Punjab & Islamabad

Scattered thunderstorm rain is likely in the Upper Parts of Punjab Province. These parts include Islamabad,  Rawalpindi (Attock, Murree, Jhelum, and Chakwal), Gujranwala (Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahuddin, Hafizabad, and Wazir Abad), and Sargodha (Mianwali, Bakkhar, and Khushab) divisions during the period.

Kashmir

Scattered thunderstorm rain (snow over high mountains) is likely in Kashmir, including MuzzaffarabadRawalakotKotliMirpur, and Jammu divisions during the next 24 hours.

Gilgit Baltistan

Isolated showers/thunderstorms (snow over high mountains) are possible in all valleys of GB, including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Gupis, and Chillas Valley during the next 24 hours.
