Last Spell of the monsoon season 2024 expected in Upper parts of Pakistan from 26th September.

The last Spell of monsoon season 2024 is likely to impact the upper and central parts of Punjab, KPK, Kashmir, Northeast Balochistan, and Southeast Sindh from Thursday night till Sunday (26th September to 29th September).

Punjab & Islamabad

Fairly widespread to widespread thunderstorm rain (Isolated heavy rain) is likely in upper Punjab Province including Islamabad,  Rawalpindi (Attock, Murree, Jhelum, and Chakwal), Gujranwala (Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahuddin, Hafizabad, and Wazir Abad), Lahore (Kasur, Nankana Sahib, and Shekhupura), and Sargodha (Mianwali, Bakkhar, and Khushab) divisions from Thursday night to Saturday (26th September to 28th September). Scattered thunderstorms are likely in Faisalabad (Jhang, Chiniot, and Toba Tek Singh) and Sahiwal (Pakpattan, and Okara) divisions during the same period. Isolated activity is possible in Bahawalpur (Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan), Multan (Khanewal, Lodhran, and Vehari), and DG Khan (Layyah, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, and Rajanpur) Divisions during the same period.

KPK

Fairly widespread to widespread thunderstorm rain (isolated heavy rain) is likely in KPK Province including Peshawar (Charsadda, Nowshehra, Khyber, and Mohmand), Mardan (Swabi), Malakand (Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Buner, Shangla, Bajaur, Malakand, and Chitral), Hazara (Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Torghar, and Batagram) from 14th August night to 18th August. Scattered to fairly widespread thunderstorm rain (isolated heavy) is likely in Kohat (Hangu, Karak, Kurram, and Orakzai), Bannu (Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan), and Dera Ismail Khan (South Waziristan and Tank) Divisions during the same period with gaps.

Sindh

Isolated thunderstorm rain is likely in parts of Southeast Sindh Province including Hyderabad (Dadu, Badin, Thatta, Jamshoro, Matiari, Tando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Sujawal), and Mirpur Khas (Tharparkar, and Umerkot), and Karachi Divisions from Thursday night till Friday (26th night till 27th September).

Balochistan

Isolated thunderstorm rain is likely in the Kalat (Awaran, Hub, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Mastung, and Surab), Zhob (Killa Saifullah, and Sherani), Naseerabad (Kachhi, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi, Sohbatpur, and Usta Muhammad), Sibbi (Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Ziarat, Harnai, and Lehri), and Loralai (Barkhan, Musakhel, and Duki) divisions during the same period.

Kashmir

Widespread thunderstorm rain (isolated heavy rain) is likely in Kashmir, including MuzzaffarabadRawalakotKotliMirpur, and Jammu divisions from Thursday night to Saturday (26th September to 28th September).

Gilgit Baltistan

Isolated to scattered showers/thunderstorms are possible in all valleys of GB, including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Gupis, and Chillas Valley during the said period.
